    Raju was a tour guide who has now moved into the transportation and accommodation business. We started working with him post the pandemic He is slowly moving his fleet into electric vehicles. Some of the tours we conduct are on electric vehicles now. socialtours has a policy that does not vertically integrate, and hence does not acquire vehicles of our own. We also do not want to add more pollution to the city.
  • Private 4WD
    At socialtours, we do not vertically integrate, so we ensure that all vehicles we hire are from a local stakeholder. This ensures we get good vehicles, and also makes sure we can work with another stakeholder to work on ethical practices, and train essential tourism manpower.
Accomodation
  • Sapana Village Lodge
    The Sapana Lodge is one of the most sustainable lodges in the Sauraha area in the Chitwan National Park. They do not chain their elephants and also do not use them for any sort of riding. They also work with locals to improve lives and get gainful employment.

  • National Park Fees
    National Park fees are collected to maintain the bio-diversity within the national park and to protect the animals from poaching. This has resulted in some really high levels of succcess in nepal.
